Our mission:
Give women the time and space to recognize their beauty and dignity as Daughters of God.
Our purpose:
We took inspiration from St. John Paul II and his letter to women written in 1995. In this letter, he spoke of the “genius of women” though we should model and imitate saints, we should also look to “ordinary women who reveal the gift of their womanhood by placing themselves at the service of others in their everyday lives. Perhaps more than men, women acknowledge the person, because they see persons with their hearts…they see others in their greatness and limitations; they try to go out to them and help them. In this way, the basic plan of the Creator takes flesh in the history of humanity and there it is constantly revealed, in the variety of vocations, that beauty – not merely physical, but above all spiritual – which God bestowed from the very beginning on all, and in a particular way on women.”
Inspired by his words, our goal was to develop a retreat that allowed women the time and space to recognize their beauty and dignity as women while communicating to them that they are loved by God and are never alone.
We were also inspired by St. Mary Magdalene. Although she was a sinner, she let God’s love touch her heart. She was the first to see Jesus resurrected body and she continued to spread the good news after his ascension.
God is seeking a relationship with each one of His daughters. Join us on this retreat weekend to strengthen your relationship with Him by seeking the Lord through faith, family, and fellowship.
- Faith – As women, our first and greatest responsibility is to grow in our personal faith with the Lord. It is through this relationship with Jesus that women can do all that God asks of them for themselves and others. We want to communicate to all women that they are loved by God by presenting a Catholic retreat that will allow women to grow in faith and holiness.
- Family – Women have been entrusted with many gifts: life, service, love, sensitivity, intuitiveness, generosity, obedience, and fidelity. We have a responsibility to God to bring our families to the cross by using these gifts for the glory of God. This retreat helps women to feel more empowered to nurture faith in their families.
- Fellowship – Women should feel a bond of sisterhood with other women of all ages. It is important that we build each other up and provide that shoulder in times of need. This weekend provides an opportunity for women to see that they are not alone in their journey.
